The Brisbane City Youth Ballet is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the tradition of ballet and the artistic expression of dance.
Calisthenics is uniquely Australian and promotes team work, self confidence and friendship. Team members develop an appreciation for music, dance, acting, strength, flexibility and performance skills. People of all ages enjoy this wonderful sport and thrive on the variety of challenges offered.
The C.S.T.D. is one of the great International Dance Societies proudly serving Dance for over 80 years providing examinations in all major dance disciplines from Tinies to Teacher qualifications throughout Australia & the Asian Pacific region.
At Southern Federation of Dance, teachers aim to provide an enriching learning experience through sound teaching techniques, plus an understanding of the wider artistic and social dimensions of dance.
From our humble beginnings in 1879 as the Young Men’s General Debating Society, Royal South Street has grown to become one of the largest and the longest running performing arts eisteddfod in Australia.
Since 1971, the BTW has held annual scholarship awards for all students aged between 6 years and over 16 years who are studying a recognised classical ballet syllabus.The BTW scholarships are adjudicated by pre-eminent figures in the Australian dance scene, such as Colin Peasley, Barbara Nimmo, Adam Bull and Amber Scott. Past winners of BTW scholarships regularly progress to enjoy successful professional careers both in Australia and overseas.
